Construction

Built to survive the pole, not just decorate it.

Big flags fail at the fly end first. Every detail here is chosen for a 40-foot pole in a 40-mile wind.

Fully embroidered stars

All fifty stars are stitched into the canton, never printed. You can read the difference from the street.

Individually sewn stripes

Thirteen stripes sewn together with double-stitched lock seams, not a single printed panel.

4x-reinforced fly end

Where big flags fail first, this one is built up four rows deep to survive months of whipping.

UV-resistant 210D nylon

Heavy-duty nylon that flies full in a light breeze, dries fast after storms, and holds its color.

Roped header and grommets

Brass grommets on the 8x12; thimbles and a rope-reinforced header on the 10x15 and 20x30. No rust, even in salt air.

Sized to the pole

Three sizes matched to 20-foot through 100-foot poles, with a size guide so you order it right the first time.

Size guide

Which size fits your pole?

A flag should be roughly one quarter the height of the pole. Too small looks timid; too large tears itself apart in wind. Not sure? Send us your pole height and we'll tell you straight.

I finally got the cord replaced on my flag pole and used that as a means to install the new flag I received from you. I am pleased with the quality of the flag and its vibrant colors. Before installing the flag, I sprayed it generously with SCOTCHGARD outdoor water proofing. I have used this method for years to extend the durability of the replacement flags, and the latest flag was flown for 2 years - always up on the flag pole and lit at night, as per expected flag usage.

I love it. It’s so bright when the wind is blowing it. I love the bright stars when it rains. It keeps flying rain. Just rolls right off it still it still has its freedom to move and show my colors. I love it.

Questions

The short answers.

How long will a large flag last?

It depends on exposure. A flag on a highway pole flying day and night in Florida wind gets 60 to 90 days of crisp; a sheltered pole flown daytime only can go a year or more. The 4x fly end and UV-resistant nylon push both numbers out. Businesses that never want to think about it use the replacement program above.

Which size do I order?

Pole height divided by four is the rule of thumb: 8x12 for 20 to 30 foot poles, 10x15 for 35 to 50 foot, 20x30 for 60 foot and up. Send us your pole height if you're between sizes.

How is it attached to the pole?

The 8x12 has brass grommets. The 10x15 has four grommets with acetal thimbles, and the 20x30 has a roped header with galvanized thimbles and six grommets, so the halyard load is carried by the rope, not the fabric.

Are the stars embroidered?

Yes. Every star is embroidered and every stripe is individually sewn. Nothing on this flag is printed.

How fast does it ship?

In stock and ready to ship from Cape Coral, Florida. Large flags go UPS or USPS Priority; most of the country sees it in 2 to 5 business days.

Do you offer volume or business pricing?

Yes. Multi-pole orders and the replacement program are priced per pole with volume breaks at 5 and 15 poles. Use the quote form on this page or email commercial@flagcompany.co.
